Restoration begins on Alderney's Postboxes

On Wednesday 16th May 2012 Guernsey Post will begin the task of restoring all seven of Alderney's Postboxes.

John Bougourd, Guernsey & Alderney Post's Sorting Office Manager said:
"It's been a few years since Alderney's Postboxes have been properly renovated and at present they are looking particularly tired and worn.
Over the next couple of weeks we will be taking steps to restore all of the boxes back to their former glory."

Guernsey Post will do everything it possibly can to keep disruption to a minimum during the renovation of its Postboxes, but apologises for any inconvenience this may cause. Weather pending, it is hoped that all of Alderney's Postboxes will be restored by Monday 28th May 2012.
