Guernsey Post support Stix Internet and Learning Centre

Styx Internet and Learning Centre has been presented with two new specially equipped laptops, computer mice and memory sticks purchased by Guernsey Post's Supporting Together Committee.

Styx Internet and Learning Centre situated in St Peters, gives Guernsey residents the opportunity to drop in every Thursday (from 10.00am) and learn how to use email and the internet.
The centre is staffed by volunteers and they rely solely on donations and computer equipment shared with the Youth Club.

Steve Rains, HR Director for Guernsey Post and member of its Supporting Together Committee said:
"We heard that Styx was in desperate need of new computer equipment and knowing what a fantastic job the centre does, especially at teaching Guernsey's more senior residents how to use the internet, we just had to help. The laptops we purchased for the Centre have wide screens for easy reading and wireless computer mice which are simpler to learn to use."

Rory Johnson a volunteer from Styx Internet and Learning Centre said "The new equipment bought for us by Guernsey Post is just fantastic, the group is getting bigger and bigger every week and with this new equipment we can now help even more people develop their computer skills."

If anyone is interested in volunteering at Styx Internet and Learning Centre please contact Jenny on 265514.
