Delays to postal deliveries - UK

Wintry weather conditions including ice and heavy snowfall are continuing to affect some parts of the UK today.

Mail collection, distribution, processing and deliveries are taking place across the UK, however, the continued wintry weather; fresh falls of snow and icy road and pavement conditions are disrupting some mail services in some parts of the UK. Most affected by the weather conditions are parts of Northern, Central and Eastern Scotland and parts of North East England.

Deliveries are taking place as usual in most parts of the UK today. In some parts of the country, particularly in rural areas, snow and ice is making roads dangerous and access for Royal Mail difficult or unsafe. Where this is the case, they are continually reviewing the situation and will resume delivery to customers as soon as they can deliver safely. Volumes of mail and mail delivery times may be subject to some changes during this period.
